Visa Application Process

Check whether you need a visa to enter China. Visa requirements depend on your nationality, passport type, purpose of visit, and length of stay. Some participants may be eligible for visa-free entry to China for up to 30 days for purposes including exchange, conferences, exhibitions, business, tourism, and transit.

If a visa is required, prepare the necessary documents.
These may include a valid passport, completed visa application form, recent passport photo, invitation letter, travel itinerary, accommodation information, and other documents required by the Chinese Embassy, Consulate, or Chinese Visa Application Service Center in your country/region.

Submit your visa application through the appropriate Chinese Embassy, Consulate, or Visa Application Service Center.
Participants are advised to check the official visa application procedures in their country/region and apply well in advance of their planned travel date.

Carry supporting documents when entering China.
Even if you are eligible for visa-free entry, it is recommended to carry supporting documents such as the conference invitation letter, return or onward ticket, and accommodation reservation.

About Nanjing
Nanjing, abbreviated as "Ning" (宁), is the capital of Jiangsu Province. It is located in the southwestern part of Jiangsu Province and the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
Beginning at 31°14' north in the south, Nanjing extends to 32°37' north in the north; from 118°22' east in the west, to 119°14' east in the east. The maximum distance between east and west is approximately 70 kilometres; between north and south approximately 150 kilometres. The slender city covers an area of 6,587.02 square kilometres. Nanjing is an important central city in eastern China, an important national research and education base, and a comprehensive transportation hub. It is the only megacity in the Yangtze River Delta and an important gateway city for the development of the central and western regions, the first batch of national historical and cultural cities, and a national key scenic tourist city. The civic spirit of Nanjing is "Open and honest, displaying fraternity and liberty, entrepreneurship and innovation". The city tree of Nanjing is the cedar, the city flower is the plum blossom, and the symbol of Nanjing as a tourist city is "Standing Dragon and Tiger".
